Asian Online Resource Centre

"Knowledge is Power." We give you the knowledge - and facts – that would help combat child abuse.

Although numerous research studies have been undertaken by government, civil society organizations, and academic bodies, and there is abundant information available, there was a lacuna in that there was no central facility that could collect, collate, organize, and present the available literature in a systematic manner. Hence an attempt was made to fill this gap by the ICCWTN Asian Online Resource Centre which was started in the year 2015

This Asian Online Resource Centre not only provides a range of information on child rights and child protection issues but also caters to the needs of professionals and interested individuals to build up their knowledge and skills through various e-learning facilities., Simply put, by learning about child abuse and what each professional can do to intervene using an evidence-based scientific approach, we can make a huge difference in a child’s life.

ARC is designed to be a gateway to all stakeholders and communities involved in the field of child protection. It provides free online access to comprehensive sources of information on matters relating to child maltreatment. We believe access to a wide range of materials and links online will strengthen the knowledge, skills, and practices of stakeholders to better understand child maltreatment and employ an evidence-based approach to combat all forms of child abuse. ARC also provides a wealth of information and resources relating to region-wise statistics, briefings, and fact sheets on a continuum of topics, including child neglect and several forms of child abuse.

The Asian Online Resource Centre for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect for preventing and responding to child abuse is a joint initiative of Indian Council for Child Welfare- Tamilnadu, India. with the support and guidance from the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN).
